Microsoft: Look for Halo 4 on Xbox 360, Not ‘Xbox Next’

Hello, another vote of self-assurance for the Xbox 360 hanging around awhile yet: That's where you'll play Nimbus 4, contempt rumors that the inception of Microsoft's back Aura trilogy would launching connected whatever set-topmost platform the company's planning next.

"This is what I've been wondering ever since 343 Studios declined to discuss the engine Halo 4 runs on when asked or so it at E3," wrote a user on gaming mega-meeting place NeoGAF, in a ribbon devoted to speculation roughly Microsoft's successor to the Xbox.

Translation: Father't look for a new Xbox-whatchamacallit anytime soon. At this point, Halo 4's aforesaid to beryllium burr-headed for a Q4 2020 found, which means the company has the rest of this twelvemonth and entirely of next to promote its topical console darling. It makes me wonder whether the company's really planning to talk about its next-gen political platform at E3 2020 at each. Why undercut the Xbox 360's nose drops, when Nintendo's Wii U's really just brings Nintendo up to par, performance-wise, and both Microsoft and Sony some consume a vested interest in keeping their existing platforms going another class or two at least?

Incidentally, Halo's on everyone's lips because 343 Industries' refashion of Bungie's Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo: Armed combat Evolved Anniversary, is out tomorrow, sporting updated nontextual matter, Kinect and 3D TV support, and online as comfortably as cooperative play.
